Hamid Ansari former Vice-President of India says India just as responsible for Partition as Pakistan, claims 'it was easier to blame Muslims' 

Former Vice President of India Hamid Ansari was a great personality of India. When delivering a speech in a book launch of Saeed Naqvi's new book Being the Other - Hamid Ansari said that, don't blame Muslim, India was also just as responsible as Pakistan for Partition.

As per a report from the Times of India, Hamid Ansari said: "We are not ready to accept that we are equally responsible for Partition."

"On 11 August, 1947, four days before independence, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel made a statement while delivering a speech where he said: We took these extreme steps after great discussions. Despite my earlier strong opposition to partition, I agreed on this because I believed that to keep India together, it should be divided.''

Hamid Ansari alleged that when politics changed, someone was to be held accountable for division, and it was easy to blame Muslims. Ansari said, Hamid Ansari said that "every person agreed with the fact that Muslims should be held responsible for the partition."

Hamid Ansari is an Indian Politician who served India 12th Vice-President from 2007 to 2017. He  was also served as an Indian ambassador and ex-chairman of the Rajya Sabha. Hamid Ansari was the first person who has been re-elected as India Vice-President after Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan in 1957.

BJP slams, accused Hamid Ansari for delivering such "controversy statements" and said that Hamid Ansari shows a "Muslim bias".

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra urgently made a press conference and that Hamid Ansari should apologize for giving such statement.
