Karnataka state is the most expensive polls in the expenditure used by the parties and its candidate. The Karnataka state elections were the "most expensive ever" assembly poll in the country in terms of money spent by political parties and their candidates, according to the analysis of a research organization. 

According to the CMS (Content Management System), the money spent by the political parties and their candidate is about ₹9,500 crore to ₹10,500 crore, it is the previous record of the election polls in Karnataka. In Karnataka assembly election 2018 will cost double the amount of pervious election. Current election is most important for the both parties BJP and Congress.

At this rate, 2019 Lok Sabha election poll expenditure is about ₹50,000 to ₹60,000 crore against the previous expenditure of ₹30,000, which is just double of the amount used in previous Lok Sabha election in 2014. This report is according to the N Bhaskara Rao of the CMS.

In 2017, Uttar Pradesh election campaign poll major parties will spent at least ₹5,500 crore and including ₹1,000 crore towards 'note for vote', with nearly one-third amount will for that voters admitting to cash or liquor offer, a survey claimed by CMS report.

The Election Commission of India is allowing only ₹25 lakh money invested for the one election campaign. But, it is interesting to know that best known secret that most parties and candidates spend much more money that what is officially allowed by the Election Commission of India and will parties and their candidates declare after the poll. The political parties and their candidate are not disclosing the exact amount.

The Electoral commission shall, at least 3 months before an election set out the pending limits for a candidate or a political parties contesting for an elective post. Factor on which spending money limits:
